On December 20 – 21, 2016, a conference devoted to increasing touristic attractiveness of Russia among foreign travelers, landmark events in the history of the Russian-French relationship and potential development of collaboration of the two countries in the sphere of tourism took place in Paris.

The event was organized by the Federal Agency of Tourism (Rosturizm) together with the Ministry of Culture of the RF in collaboration with the “French-Russian Dialog” association. The conference took place at the All-Russian patriotic program “Roads of Victory” aimed at forming the image of Russia as a country that is favorable for tourism, revealing the cultural and historical attractiveness of the Russian regions for foreign tourists. By expanding the interaction between representatives of Russian and foreign touristic business and executive authorities in the sphere of culture and tourism, tourist flows will increase.

The event was attended by more than 70 people – senior officers and specialists representing the Russian and French culture and tourism authorities, representatives of Russian regions, touristic information centers, participants of the touristic market, tourist industry experts, and representatives of culture and tourism organizations.
